Digital asset management is on the rise, according to research firm Technomic.
The firm released a study on Monday that looked at more than 2,500 technology stocks from the past 12 months.
The firm found that digital asset management companies (DAMs) are the largest stock category among the companies profiled.
According to the report, there are 2,922 stocks in the tech sector with at least $100 million in market cap.
Those are followed by cloud storage, software and services, automotive, and health care.
There are 2.4 million stocks in this category.
The top ten companies in terms of market cap are Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Apple’s retail business, and Uber.
Tech stocks like Google, Amazon and Microsoft are growing fast.
Technomic says these companies are creating value for investors.
“These are companies that have a proven track record of generating cash flow and have proven ability to drive the growth of their businesses,” the report reads.
“The trend is that this sector is becoming more and more profitable for investors.”
